Wahitis
Commissioned by the Washington State Arts Commission for Wahitis Middle School, Othello, WA, 2012
The project consists of six mixed media panels along the main school corridor. The panels depict the formation and development of the area. Each panel has a “basalt” column imbedded, reflecting the geological character of the area. Silhouettes of children playing, flying birds, leaping salmon and lava animals activate the spaces between the panels.
