These images were inspired by the poems of the Sufi mystic Jelal al-Din Rumi. Rumi uses imagery from nature to evoke the idea of the individual joining with the divine - like a diver leaving clothes on the shore to join the ocean, or opening a window in one’s chest to let the spirits fly in and out.
